August 8, 2006 I spent Monday evening at the home of my daughter, Andi Maron, and my grandchildren Matana, Eden and Shai for swimming and a barbecue. They are hosting two terrific girls from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Ariel Abrams plays golf and Sonya Kuznetsov (who was born in Russia and came to America when she was two years old) plays tennis. They told us they live on opposites sides of their city and didn't know each other before the games, but now they will definitely keep in touch. Their families both hosted athletes when the Maccabi games were in St. Paul. This year Ariel and Sonya were supposed to have gone to the games in New Orleans but since they were canceled they came here. But they say it's okay, they are having a great time, and they met cute, all-around adorable boys from New Orleans so maybe they will go there one day to visit!
