August 10, 2006 Today, Thursday, Aug. 10, is the last full day of the JCC Maccabi Games 2006, and I just have one thing to say: What an amazing week! The first day as a Star Reporter was a bit over whelming but now I feel like a pro! I think being a Star Reporter was a really great chance for me to meet Jewish teens from around the world and to make new friends. I think it's safe to say that I have accomplished both this week. Our coach really taught me a lot -- everything from learning how to use a digital recorder to the importance of being on time. I think tonight at the closing party it will be bittersweet. Bitter knowing that this is the last “hoorah” of the games and sweet knowing that around this time next year some of us will be meeting up again at the 2007 games.
